"The Vintage Motor Cycle Club, with over 17,000 Members, united by a common appreciation of the engineering skills and vision of those who built the pioneer machines, has ensured that such machines are not preserved as lifeless exhibits in a museum, but are brought to life on frequent occasions in order that a new generation can marvel at the handiwork of the pioneers, and an older generation can once again view with nostalgia the machines they rode in days gone by."
Herefordshire Section gains support
Following an initial meeting, and various declarations of support, it has been decided to try to restart the Herefordshire section again. A meeting will be held at the Bunch of Carrots pub, Hampton Bishop, Hereford, HR1 4JR; commencing at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday 25th November.
A provisional programme of events will be presented and all potential members will be encouraged to express their views. “Stand-in” Chairman Geoff McGladdery hopes that there will be a strong enough turnout of members to justify re-starting the Herefordshire Section. “If enough members demonstrate their interest by attending the meeting, we will definitely try to re-form the section”.
Geoff is unashamedly a ‘rider’ and will look to get people out on their bikes as often as possible. He promises that “The programme will be interesting and varied and appeal to all our members – there will be something for everyone”
The ‘Carrots’ is a great venue and its location makes it easily accessible to all Herefordshire residents.
As you can see from the picture Geoff likes a bit of variety in his bikes!
